Building a Culture of Excellence
A Beacon
of Good Practice,
Raising Standards:
An effective, student-centered learning
organization where the
collaborative effort of all
stakeholders results in
excellence in teaching and
learning.
To facilitate the development of a collegial environment where site-based managers ensure that teachers acquire the skills and competencies to employ appropriate, learner-centered teaching strategies; where the collaborative efforts of school and community afford learners every opportunity to achieve the highest standards of academic excellence and acquire moral and social values that would distinguish them as exemplars of our society.
'Virtute Vera’ is a Latin phrase meaning ‘by true strength’. By true strength you can conquer the world, hold it in your hands, and make it yours.
Strength of body: physical strength means fitness and good health, an active body; a body that comes from being a participant rather than a bystander.
Strength of mind: mental strength means taking a keen interest in, and trying to understand everything you do, from schoolwork to play.
Strength of will: spiritual strength means the ability to withstand temptation; to stand on your own two feet; to know what you want out of life, and to go out and get it.
