Section A: MoE Guidelines governing entry into Sixth Form
The following regulations issued by the Ministry of Education govern both the criteria and selection of students to Form 6 as well as the promotion of CAPE students from Lower 6 to Upper 6:
A minimum of 75% attendance at regular classes
Diligent applications to study in all subject areas being pursued
A satisfactory level of achievement in the End of Term/End of Year exams or any other form of assessment
Exemplary discipline
Adherence to SBA/IA Deadlines
Students MUST pursue a combination of THREE core subjects plus the mandatory subject areas.
After selection and registration students will not be allowed to drop or change subjects
The student must not have attained her 19th year before August 2024/entry to Unit One
All students must submit notarized copies of their preliminary grade slips/certificates to be considered for entry into Form 6.
Section B: Pre-requisites for CAPE Subjects
Subjects chosen at Sixth Form Level are dependent on the successful completion of the base subject at the Fifth Form Level.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: FIVE (5) CSEC SUBJECTS
Mathematics (I/II) Compulsory
English Language (I/II) Compulsory
Any other three (3) subjects Preference given to ONES

Section C: Applications for Form 6
Application for Form is a two-step process.
Step 1. Students are expected to fill out the online application (uploading all relevant documents)
Step 2. Students must drop in printed form and copies of required documents on or before Tuesday 27 August 2024 by 12 noon
All submitted documents must be presented in an envelope with the Applicant’s Name clearly written on the front of the envelope. Any envelope that does not have all the requirements will be considered an incomplete application and may not be considered.

SFGC offers the following combinations for our CAPE Programme:
Only ONE subject can be chosen from EACH line.
When completing the online application, you can choose TWO combinations of your subject choices.
Should you be successful, ONE of these combinations will be presented to you upon entry.
Caribbean Studies, which is on every line, MUST be ONE of the FOUR subjects chosen.
Applicants can check the status of their application through the online system.

**Please note that SFGC does not offer Agricultural Science nor Information Technology at Form 6.
Subjects shown are not the only scholarships available from the Ministry of Education. Other scholarships include (i) Technical Studies and (ii) Creative and Performance Studies however, SFGC currently does not offer the required subjects at Form 6.
